Hey everyone! Tomorrow I hit 6 months in my mission! It's crazy to think I'm already a quarter of the way done.
Though everyone I'm sick today so I'll keep it short.
So
my area is a beautiful area, but it's super difficult. So be sure to keep
me in your prayers. Having a good time with my companion and we get
along for the most part. And by that I mean that it's the same with every companion,
even if you were with your best friend you'd end up finding stuff that
bugs you. But things are going well.
I
walk a lot since we have a large area without many people so we walk to
get to the other places - sometimes walking one hour without stopping to
get there. I don't really like that since to me it seems like almost a
waste of time, but that's this area.
Anyways thanks for everyone and thanks for writing.
Love, Elder Vogt

Additional thoughts from family emails:
* The sickness just hit me today (Monday, 3/13). But it hit me hard. With extreme fever, headache and the feeling that I was about to throw up. Since it's Monday (Pday), I've been resting in the church. Though we still came
out here (to the Stake Center) instead of resting in the apartment - I didn't want my comp to miss out on his fun just because I
was sick.
* Even though I have mosquito nets hanging above my bed (as seen in the picture from last week) we don't really have a need for them - the mosquitoes and insects aren't that big of a deal.
* Sadly, we're not really teaching anyone right now - so pray for us!
* We went to a multi zone reunion in Chinedega. The bus picture (below) is we
took a mini bus back to Leon together. The one who is kind of cut off is Elder Najera.
* From all of our walking, my shoes are breaking, but I should be able to use these for a bit longer. (I only use the hush puppies -not the Ecco's)
