Tuesday, January 23rd - Monday, January 29th

So weekly email.

Uh well it was the last week of the changes. So we did last week kinda stuff. And we heard about the changes Sunday so we went around to say goodbye to the members for my companion. And now I have a new companion here. Elder Herrera He's Dominican. He's actually pretty tall and I'd say in the top 3 of my tallest companions. And yeah. Let's see how this goes.

So there is another positive guy named Daniel that we are teaching. So he is a friend of one of the Young Men. And he has been coming to church for the past 4 weeks in a row, so we have been teaching him after church. And now this week he is going to start up doing Seminary. So we were talking with him and he put his own baptismal date and wants to be baptized 13 of next month. So it's nice teaching him, he's a good kid and really interested in the church.

There's also another family that the sister is active and her daughter as well but the son and other daughter and her husband are inactive. So we were talking with her and will do a nice family home evening with her this week to help see how we can help out her family, and invite over a couple other families too.

See you all next week.

Tuesday, January 16th - Monday, January 22nd

Well to kinda make up for my weekly email for last week. I shall write a bit more this week!!!!

So starting off with Tuesday!
Well the day started off nice and early with Interviews with the president. Well that was pretty much the whole day. We had our zone meeting, and the interviews. Because my area is close we stayed there until lunch then we had lunch and came back. Then we waited. And didn't really get out until like 6:30. So yeah we didn't do much. Just stayed in the church pretty much the whole day. The interviews went alright. Not much special. Just the normal Routine. We also got to watch the short Conference and subsequent Press Conference where Russell M. Nelson was announced as the new Prophet and President of the church. I really enjoyed it and thought there were lots of great and interesting questions that were asked during the Press Conference.

Wednesday. Well we ended up looking for an area kinda far that we had no idea where it was, but eventually found it and managed to find the guy we were looking for. So we did that. Then had Ward council in the evenings. So we made it back in time for that and had that meeting. The first one we have done so far this change. Though we will be doing them more frequently now.

Thursday. Well Thursdays are pretty uneventful. We just did some visiting. Not much new.

Friday the zones were doing an activity where everyone had to put so many people down for baptismal dates. So we ended up contacting a lot of people today.

Saturday we pressed service Nice and early in the morning as a zone. We went to a hospital and broke up into like 3 groups. My group we cleaned up outside, raking and sweeping. Some people got kitchen duty and 2 elders ended up cutting themselves. And yeah.So that was nice. We had that. Then came back to shower and change then headed out.

Sunday Church. We were  going to have a baptism, so we got nice an early at 7:45 to the church. But he didn't show up. SO we waited and had church at 9. Then in 2nd hour we went to search for the fella and something happened the night before with his work and he didn't get back to his place until like 8 in the morning. So now he is scheduled for Wednesday. Had a pretty low key day, and in the evening we ended up cooking churros with a member. For our first time they turned out alright. Could have been worse so I am happy.

And today we had a nice fun P-day. So I be content with that. I had shrimp for lunch. And got sunburnt. But now I am here. Thanks everyone for reading about my week. See you all next week!

Tuesday, January 9th - Monday, January 15th

I guess what they noticed is true. After the time goes by, people kinda stop with their weekly emails.

SO I guess what we did. Had a district meeting Tuesday, worked during the week, saw the prophet's funeral Friday, and today had Pizza with a bunch of other Missionaries and played some games. So a pretty normal non event filled week.

It wasn't bad but not much super special to mention.

So Thanks everyone for reading the little I shall be sending out!

Tuesday, January 2nd - Monday, January 8th

Soooooo I guess I shall write about yet another week here in good ol Nicaragua.

So starting off Tuesday well it was a tuesday. Can't say much more than that. Didn't really do anything special, but it was all good, all good.

Wednesday we had a family home evening thinggy planned but since most of the ward were in the temple this week we got it pushed back a week to this up coming Wednesday. So we just went around visiting a couple of the people who were still here. It was nice.  Twas nice.

Thursday we had a zone meeting, so we went to the stake center (our chapel, so it is nice and close) and got to meet the new sisters in the zone since 2 of the sisters had emergency changes this Monday. I know  great New year's present. But it happens. So got to meet everyone, and had a decent time with everyone before going to work and do all that good stuff.

Friday we had a multi zone meeting with us Chinandega and Leon. So it was cool seeing everyone. It was a decent meeting with lots of machetes. Which are always a good fun part. There were a couple people who received large packages. Sooooo you know how that goes. Everyone flocks to them. I got some Brazilian gum, and various sweets from other people. Then we visited a couple families that were in my comps old area since we were right near there, and went out for dinner. It was all good. Had a good fun day and night and yeah. And the members got back from the Temple today.

Saturday was the First part of stake Conference. So President Poncio was here as well so I guess they didn't leave after the multi zone meeting. So they gave some talks and it all went well. My comp and I helped out with the Choir - we all sang I Am a child of God and How Firm a Foundation.

Sunday we finished up stake conference and went to visit a couple people. At dinner we saw a church movie, and then headed back to our place to sleep.

Today I went with my comp as he was looking for shoes, and we went out to eat with a bunch of elders. So we chilled there with them it was pretty fun.

Anyways that was a bit of my week. thanks everyone for seeing it.

Tuesday, December 26th - Monday, January 1st

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
2018

So I guess I shall start this week off with a good ol Tuesday.

So Tuesday is when we had our district meeting. It went alright and nicely. So we had that then we went out to visit the people. Had our lunch, and they have a pool table there, so I ended up playing a quick game with my comp. We are about even. So it was a nice fun thing to do.

Wednesday. Well we had a pretty low key day, just walking around getting to know more people and visiting even more. Not very eventful. But we had a good time with our lunch family for the day. And we worked a whole lot. A bit more than normal. But it went nicely.

Thursday. It was a thursday what more can I say.

Friday. Everyone was messaging us "Hey do you got money yet?" Since we were the closest to the ATM so we left the house in search of money! And we totally got it! So that was good. We got to give the good news to everyone. Getting things ready for this weekend.

Saturday there were 2 baptisms in the stake so we went there to help support the people getting baptized. It was a nice event. Wasn't that big, but it's great to see the people changing their lives.

Sunday. Yesterday. Happy new years eve. So the day consisted of the church. A lunch. Mmmm lunch. Then visting some members wishing a happy new years eve. Then first dinner. Playing some Uno with them. Then vising a family and second dinner. In the house of that family were 2 ex sister missionaires who served here a couple years ago. So we got to meet them. They were just making their rounds for their old areas (and came to go to the Temple with this family) and ended up being here for new years eve. It felt weird and made me think - Hey I wonder if something like this will happen after my mission. I come back to visit and chill with the missionaries there. But oh well. Then came new years. And man it was pretty nice. Not as much fireworks as when I was in Managua last year, but still pretty cool. They also have the tradition here of making Scarecrows and burning them on New Years.

So happy new years everyone. I hope everyone can just be motivated to make the necessary changes this year to live a better life. And Hey I can say to people now. I'll be going home this year. Thanks for all of your support. and have an amazing 2018!
