Alright so this time I don't have my machine, but I still am able to write about what happened this week. So I guess I will start at Monday!
So
on Monday there were the transfers and like I said. I have my new
companion Elder Lemus here. And yeah so it is all good with him right
now, It's not too bad.
Tuesday.
So we started working and showing him the area. Though later at night
came some Elders who were dying off (aka: going home!) So I got to see my first Zone
leader, and also some other Elders that I didn't know really well. And
we went and visited people that they knew and enjoyed in their time
here. But it was nice also.
Wednesday.
So Wednesday was a normal day. We just worked, and did things like
normal. I don't really remember much from that day, since I'm not really
thinking about it all too much right now, but hey it's all alright.
Thursday.
So we started off the day with a nice and long multi zone reunion. So
those go from like 9 in the morning until like 4 in the afternoon. So
it's long, and sometimes a bit boring, but it was a nice time to relax,
and learn the word! So afterwards we got back, and in the evening ate
the food - which is also the new girlfriend of my cousin - Pupusas!
Friday!
So we had our "Hey! Let's do this!" during our zone meeting that morning. So we did
that. And then we went to work. We put 5 people down on date for
baptism! And set up a person for a baptism Saturday.
Saturday! 5 more people on date, and pushed the baptism back to Sunday since Saturday was also a wedding and Stake Conference.
Also we went to the wedding!!! It was with a member and someone on date for baptism next saturday
Sunday!
Stake conference. and I guess just normal stuff. I have a story for
this though. So at night time we were all like - Hey our dinner appointment
canceled, but we had leftovers from the night before, so let's go to a
member's house and cook it. So we were there eating it, when we heard
banging on all the houses next to us. And remember these are all like
sheet metal houses with sheet metal fences. So we went in and closed all
the doors (and these doors are just sheet metal that swings over an
opening). So yeah. So then we turned off all lights but one, and heard a
lot of shouting and a whole lot of stuff like that. And then the
mother of the person went out and saw someone with like his arms
flayed and bloody, and he was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance.
And when we left and walked to our apartment there were roughly like 50
police out everywhere driving in the streets, on motorcycles with
shotguns stuff like that.
But hey Reparto Shick is the most dangerous area in the mission! But it's all good.
And
today so we had to take the bus back from the stake center, but it was
packed with people, so for part of the ride I only had half a foot in the
bus, and one hand, and the rest of me was hanging outside the bus hoping
for dear life I wouldn't fall out. It was crazy!
